WHY IS DURABLE TANKS CRITICAL FOR BIOFLOC FISH FARMING?

Image
The fish production and microbial proliferation are done in separate compartments. This is a popular way of fish farming followed by farmers, which is where durable and waterproof tanks come into the picture.  Biofloc fish farming is quite popular among fish farmers.  It is a reasonable way to manage waste and nutrients retention in the culture water. The best part about considering biofloc fish farming is that it allows the farmers to have better control of the water dynamics over the culture period. KisanFlex’s tanks are one of the most promising and trustworthy biofloc tanks, as they are made with special technology, high-quality material and ticks all the boxes of safe fish farming. KisanFlex uses the best possible PVC tarpaulin to produce highly durable biofloc tanks . The tanks are prepared to withstand toughest of conditions; they are sturdy and can be customized as per requirement.  Let’s talk about some additional features of KisanFlex’s PVC biofloc tanks: ·

Advantages & Disadvantages of Biofloc Farming

Farmers involved in fish and shrimp production are inclining more towards  biofloc farming   technology so that production can be increased sustainably. But if not used properly researchers warn that the method could be unsuitable. The level of suspended solids in culture water needs to be maintained so that there is no danger of diseases for shrimp and fish. There is a knowledge gap in this technology which makes production management difficult. The idea to use this technology rightly is that fish production and microbial proliferation should occur in separate compartments. Advantages and disadvantages Pros The flocs are protein-rich and helps to provide fish and shrimp with the right amount of vitamins and phosphorous. Allowing the microbial flocs to reproduce can improve water quality and can actually immobilize toxic nitrogen. Farmers told that there is greater productivity using the system if they compare it to conventional aquaculture techniques. This process can decr

Success Stories at KisanFlex!

Biofloc technology (BFT) has become very popular among the fish farmers in India in the last decade. This is mainly due to its high productivity and limited need for water exchange. As with any new technology, Biofloc comes with its share of misconceptions. However, with proper training and know-how, fish farmers have been able to debunk the myths and achieve remarkable success in this field.   “Every small detail counts….” Mr. Supriyo Ghosh , from Tarakeshwar, West Bengal, is one of the pioneers in Biofloc fish farming in Eastern India . He left his highly lucrative job as the Marketing Head of a reputed IT firm in 2018, to pursue his passion for organic fish farming. He has been kind enough to share his experiences on Biofloc fish farming with us- The idea: “I had been doing my research for a long time. In mid-2019, Mr. Yoram Avnimelech , who is regarded as the father of BioFloc Technology , conducted a seminar at Lakkhiserai, Bihar. I attended that seminar along wit

BioFloc- An overview

Biofloc technology (BFT) is an innovative and eco-friendly fish farming technique that involves stock-breeding of fishes, in a micro-organism rich ecosystem, artificially created in a tank. The term Biofloc (Bio=life, Floc= aggregate) refers to clusters of micro-organisms such as bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa, and other kinds of organic particles like fish faeces and uneaten feed. All these, together, form loose clusters of organic matter which are held together by a thin film-like substance. Ecosystems rich in Biofloc enable recycling of the waste from the fishes into an organic feed. This not only serves as a protein-rich source of food for the fishes but also maintains the optimum Carbon: Nitrogen ratio, which is a pre-requisite for viable production. The best part is, the process involves a zero to minimal water exchange within the ecosystem. This reduces the chances of water contamination and ensures a high level of bio-security. BFT was invented by Prof. Yoram Avni

BioFloc Fish Farming is revolutionizing the future food needs!

Fish farming traditionally has many drawbacks. But it evolved after the ages to produce huge number of fishes in lesser space with Biofloc technology which has a competitive advantage over the traditional technique.    Current food needs in the world are growing due to population boom and the popularity of fish is drastically improved due to it, whereas the supply of fish becoming stagnant due to pollution, plastic and many factors, etc. To tackle this needs scientists have developed a technique to produce it commercially with less space, in lesser time with a less inorganic food requirement.   In the world, there are very few countries who explored the Biofloc technique and producing fish. In India, Biofloc fish cultivation is at the stagnant stage, but we are taken the Initiative to change the game overall which has changed the fate of more than 5000 farmers.    Kisanflex is a brand, who is pioneered in technology by providing all the materials required for  Biofloc fish far
